Myspace ( is literally what its name says it is. It is your space on the Internet where you build a profile, select the music and video that interests you and make friends with people who have interests similar to yours. If you have a great Myspace presence, you will have a large number of friends connecting to you and visiting your page.

If you already have an TraceMyIP account, login into that and select "Add New Project", else follow this link to learn how to register an account and then add the new project. Use the URL of your page to generate the IP tracker code on TraceMyIp.

In the "Code Type" drop down list select Universal Tracker - HTML compatibility Mode 1 and generate the code.

Copy the HTML code to the clipboard.

Installing the IP tracker code for

Now switch back to your Myspace account. Switch to your profile page and select “edit profile” .



On the profile page edit screen, select "About me". A text box will open up on the right. This box accepts HTML.

Paste the HTML code and save the data. You might be asked to type a security code you see on screen to prove that this is not an automated entry. Save the data and exit the page.


If you now see your Myspace profile page, you will find the IP tracker installed and busy counting your visitors.


Verifying the IP tracker code installation

Once you have followed the steps above to install your hit counter code, you need to ensure that the tracker code is installed properly.

  1. Visit the section(s) of your website and verify that the tracker image shows up as intended. If you are a premium subscriber, disable the invisible tracking option first, then visually verify your tracker installation.
